A recent new contract win, Royal Shrewsbury Hospitals NHS Trust represents a high-profile example of Polkacrest's steady expansion into the Midlands and north of England.

Our contract covers the Trust's three hospitals in Shrewsbury, Telford and Oswestry with
current projections suggesting that more than 850 tonnes of clinical waste will be collected and disposed of over the course of a year.

The contract, which also covers special waste, is being managed from the company's Stafford depot with disposal at the Tyseley Waste incinerator in Birmingham. Daily collections are made from the three location using a wheeled container exchange system.
