Polkacrest acquisitions mean expanded network
Polkacrest, a leading supplier of professional, sustainable, clinical waste management solutions has successfully acquired three companies; North West Energy Ltd, based in Salford; Medical Energy Ltd, based in Worcestershire and Attero Services Ltd (formerly Sterile Technologies Newcastle Ltd) based in Wrexham.

Polkacrest will continue to work in partnership with a wide range of customers within the healthcare sector to provide a bespoke collection, treatment and disposal service for all types of waste produced by the healthcare sector. This latest acquisition allows for a greater geographical network of operations and further demonstrates Polkacrest’s commitment to the healthcare waste sector.
The staff in the acquired companies comprises around 90 management, administrative personnel, drivers and treatment operatives, and the new employees from the three companies together with the clients and suppliers will be smoothly integrated into the Polkacrest group.
Polkacrest and Stericycle will be working together, through a Transitional Services Agreement, to ensure that this integration process runs as smoothly as possible.
